The Standard, Eugene Mural

Drawing inspiration from the basalt columns at Skinner’s Butte, I aimed to capture the rugged beauty of this local climbing spot with a twist to highlight plants that thrive in our region’s forests and cliffs. Multiple sides of the building are painted with columnar basalt textures and ferns peeking through the cracks as well as trillium, oxalis and beaked moss.
